Tony Robinson with Fylde Alchemist GuitarWELCOME. Tony Robinson first cut his musical teeth back in the 1970′s as a young apprentice within the Fylde rock, folk and blues circuits. As a seasoned performer he still recognises that as a musician you are essentially an apprentice all your life – and with 35+ years experience it’s true to say he is learning his craft well.

Throughout those years he has organised, run and supported various singers nights and played numerous UK and international locations as well as radio and filmed performances.

From Nick Drake to Pink Floyd, Focus to John Martyn and Beethoven to Banco-De-Gaia it’s true to say that along with social commentaries, observations and humorous stories, a little of everything influences what he plays and how he performs.

His own material is an eclectic plangent mix and it’s true to say that even his covers sound original. He is inspired by the human spirit, its ability to face adversity and how it interacts with the world. He draws upon those influences and experiences in his performances to entertain and invoke thought and emotion in his listeners.

With his friends and peers in the music scene urging him to return to his acoustic roots he finally relented opened his ears to his contemporaries and took up the challenge in 2010.

His passion for music is evident from the first note to the last and he is well worth taking the trouble to go and see when he is performing.
